​Get ready to add a dash of excitement to our Runner's Den Pancake Run 10K  – introducing the "I Beat the GEEZER" 10K Challenge"  This light-hearted contest is all about putting your running prowess to the test against one of the area's best senior athletes.

Open to all 10K participants, the goal is simple: see if you can outrun  Marvin Davis, our seasoned senior runner. Last year, at the age of 78, Marvin clocked in at 1:04:50 (that's a 10:27 pace!) and nabbed the 3rd spot in the 75-79 age group. This year, he's back at 79, geared up and determined to leave you in his dust.

Keep an eye out for Marvin at the starting line – he'll be joined by an escort carrying a sign that proudly declares, "Here is Marvin, try to "Beat the GEEZER, "  And here's the best part – if you manage to cross the finish line before Marvin, you'll snag a specially designed "I Beat the GEEZER" ribbon.  Oh, and don't forget the photo ops with our distinguished guest after the race – a perfect way to capture the moment and celebrate your accomplishment.

Now, let's keep it light, folks – no elbows, no drafting,  just good-natured fun. We hope you relish this unique challenge as we pay homage to our fantastic senior runners.  

Oh, and by the way, Marvin is completely okay - and will not be surprised - if your best is better than his best.
