A HISTORY OF MANY RACES
Originally staged in 1979 to showcase the talents of marathon legend Bill Rodgers, our event has produced an American 10K record and boasts the single deepest field of sub-thirty minute runners ever assembled in a 10K road race, anywhere in the world. (54 in 1984) During the 1980's and early 90's, Runner's Den Race developed into one of the countries top-of-the-mind 10K events with athletes attending from around the world. In 2014 IHOP joined our event to add another family-friendly dimension by serving all participants a wonderful pancake breakfast following the event. We are thrilled they did.
From five time winner and American record holder , Thom Hunt (28:12), to Boston Bill Rodgers, Olympic Gold medalist Frank Shorter, Olympic Silver medalist John Treacy, Steve Scott, Allison Roe and Lisa Martin, Runner's Den Races have hosted many of the world's greatest runner's over the past 45 years. Now it's your turn at the 46th, scheduled for February , 2025.
