The 5K, 10K and Double Stack events are open to everyone with no minimum age. Top male/female over-all winners of the 10K/5K & Double Stack will be presented custom awards. In addition, the top three finishers of the 5K & 10K in each of the following age groups will receive custom made medals: 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. The 5K Walk is chip-timed and will be scored as part of the 5K Run.

The Double Stack will present awards to the top three finishers (combined times of the 5K and 10K) in the following female and male age divisions: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.
Double Stack entrants are eligible for age group awards in the Double Stack and the 5K/10K races in addition to the over-all Champion awards of both races. Double Stack finishers will receive (1) custom branded Double Stack finisher's medal. |
10K RUN 7:30am
The 10K USAT&F certified course (#AZ12019JOE) is a flat, blazingly fast loop. There will be split times each mile with four aid stations appropriately placed. All participants will receive a chip generated finishing time with individual, age-group and over-all placing. To avoid course conflicts between the two events and area businesses/Churches/Temples, there is a 90 minute time limit to complete the 10K course. (14:31 pace)
Water will be available at (4) locations: approximately 1.25m, 2, 3.5m, 5m

Simply put, you run both the 5K and the 10K runs and your finish times will be combined and then ranked against other "Double Stack" competitors. There will be 90 minutes between the starts of the two events so you will have to figure out a strategy balancing out your pacing and recovery time to produce your over-all best time.

Baby strollers are welcome in both the 5K and 10K events. For safety and to ease congestion at the start, strollers are asked to line up to the rear of the field. We appreciate your cooperation. We are sure you understand.

This is a very special event open to children up to 36 months of age. The Paradise Valley Mall Diaper Derby is a non-competitive 50 yard dash on a lightening fast, pancake flat course. The event will feature three wave starts; #1: 25-36 months, #2: 13-24 months and #3: 12 months and younger. As a wonderful photo opportunity, parents are encouraged to provide whatever support they feel appropriate to get the kids to the finish line. Crawlers, baby walkers, fishing poles with dangling teddy bears or simply loving words of encouragement. Anything goes! Parents are welcome to line up with their kids and help them along after the starting bell rings. Costumes for the kids are encouraged.
All entrants receive an official Paradise Valley Mall Diaper Derby Certificate of participation, (1) post-event pancake breakfast and (1) valley wide IHOP short-stack certificate. Registration is limited to the first 150 entrants or the race limit of 2,000 being reached. Entry fee is $5.00
